Handbook on IPR launched by Education Minister

Hyderabad: On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Rights Day, which is celebrated across 190 countries across the Globe on 26 April, Minister for Education Sabitha Indra Reddy launched the handbook on Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation for Schools and Society along with Subhajit Saha President of Intellectual Property Rights Awareness Society (IPRAS), Dr Sreekanth General Secretary IPRAS and Noel Robinson Treasurer IPRAS. The book is an initiative by the NGO to spread IPR literacy among class 9-10 students and also sensitise them about innovation and make them appreciate new Innovations that have changed their lives.
The book has been launched both in English and Telugu and will be made available online to all schools on request. The book talks in a very simple and easy to digest language about Innovation and different types of IPRs which will help school kids to understand how to think differently and protect their Innovations. Subhajit Saha said that sowing seeds of IP in young minds will go a long way in building an innovative nation that will respect each other’s innovation and intellectual output for development.
